Cookie Dough Log

Summary: Want a great dessert treat that's appropriate for any occasion? Try a cookie dough log for a change of pace.

The following is the video's transcript:

The best way to have homemade cookies ready for anyone, at anytime, is to have the cookie dough already prepared, well in advance. That's where our cookie dough log comes into play.

Start with a cardboard tube that you can get from a paper towel roll, and slice it down the center. Open up the cardboard, insert a piece of waxed paper, and then you'll be ready for the cookie dough.

Place the cookie dough on the waxed paper, on the inside roll of the cardboard. Place as much cookie dough inside the roll as possible. Tightly pack the cookie dough in the waxed paper. Secure the cardboard with rubber bands. This will help the cookie dough keep a rounded shape.

Place this new cookie dough log in the freezer, and wait for it to get hard. When you want some fresh cookies, pull out your log from your freezer, slice, bake and serve.
