Whether you are entertaining friends, going out to a celebration, or relaxing at home, there is one drink that is especially popular: wine. Wine is an ancient beverage that began thousands of years ago, and is still greatly enjoyed all over the world today. Wine is available in a wide variety that spans from dry to sweet and white to red, using different kinds of grapes and fruits to create a delicious drink that is unique.

In many places, wine is readily available either at a wine and liquor store or at local markets. These stores may have a good variety of choices for you to pick from when you are looking for a special bottle of wine, but this is not always the case. Sometimes you just can't find what you really want at local stores, and you might have to settle for something else. At this point, you may want to take a look at online wine stores.

Buying wine online has become a popular choice in recent years. Online wine stores provide a virtually endless selection of any kind of wine drink you can imagine, and these bottles can be conveniently delivered right to your door. Not only are you likely to find just what you need online, but the prices are often lower than at local wine shops and super markets. You can even get free shipping on some items.

Where should you begin when looking for wine to buy online? Do an online search and take a look at your options. Browse wine sellers online and learn more about them and what they have to offer. When you find an online store with a good reputation that stocks the wines you want, you can go ahead and make your order.

In many online wine stores, you can narrow down your search for a certain kind of wine or browse through different categories. Some sites even let you search by what foods you plan to eat along with the wine. Having the option to search for wine with the click of a button is a quick and convenient way to find exactly what you want.

If you want to find just the wine you are looking for, give online wine stores a try. You may be surprised how easy it is to get the right wine delivered to you hassle-free.

My wife tried this with a wine seller that sent a variety of wines for a very reasonable price. That part of the experience was great. However, the delivery part of the experience was not quite as nice.

Any alcoholic beverage must be signed for by someone over 21 years old. That means that that someone must be present to accept the goods. Both my wife and I work, so we're not always at home. Although we gave delivery time windows to the seller, the delivery service (UPS) wasn't always observant of that window. So, when they missed the delivery window, the goods were dropped at a nearby Albertsons Grocery Store, which was about 20 minutes from our house. One of us had to go pick them up - not convenient. So, we tried having them delivered to CVS, which was about 5 minutes from our house. This worked, however, but several times some or all of the bottles were missing. Too many hands have to handle the goods, so we couldn't pin down who was doing the pilfering.

When goods went missing, we complained to the Seller, who faithfully sent us replacements. However, when the replacements came, again, some or all of them were missing.

So, we had to stop ordering the wine.

Recently, all grocery stores have begun delivering goods due to the COVID-19 pandemic. That's a better way to get wine delivered, provided the wines that you want are carried by the grocery stores, because there's only one entity dealing with ordering and delivering. Anything missing, and you know who was responsible.
